I’ve eaten at Suchards on Tooley Street three times now since moving office and had the same thing each time – original I know!
But ever since I had this dish the first time, I keep dreaming of it.
The melt in your mouth lamb. No gristle or fat in sight. Only a fork is needed to separate the strands.
The rich massaman curry with the right amount of sweetness and chilli to make you savour more.
Potato soaking up the flavours of the curry.
Coconut rice adding even more flavour and naughtiness.
Broccoli and shiitake mushrooms in garlic sauce, pak choi in oyster sauce, perfectly cooked with that lovely snap and crunch, and as fresh as buttercups adding their own delicateness.
Cashews, dried onion and coriander sprinkled on top which add texture and more crunch and flavour to those last mouthfuls of lamb, potato, broccoli, pak choi, rice and sauce.
Heaven!!
Maybe one day I’ll sample something else but I’m not over the curry yet.
